1. Scope
This policy applies to Rimoswap websites, applications, browser extensions, APIs, payment pages and related support services. It should be read with our Terms of Use and AML Policy.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account details such as your name, email address, username, password hash, profile information and verification status; transaction and wallet information; device, browser, IP, security and usage information; communications with support; and identity, business or source-of-funds information when required for compliance.
Blockchain transactions are recorded on public networks. Information placed on a public blockchain may remain visible permanently and is not controlled by Rimoswap.
3. How we use information
- Create, secure and operate your account.
- Process transactions, payments, claims and enabled product activity.
- Detect fraud, abuse, sanctions exposure and other financial crime.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and reporting duties.
- Provide support, service messages and requested communications.
- Improve reliability, understand product usage and develop new features.
- Protect Rimoswap, its users, merchants and the public.
4. Legal grounds
Depending on the context, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with law, protect legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, and act on consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. When information is shared
We may share information with infrastructure, cloud, analytics, communications, identity-verification, compliance, blockchain and payment providers that help operate Rimoswap; with merchants or counterparties where necessary to complete a transaction; with professional advisers; and with regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies when lawfully required. We do not sell personal information.
6. International processing
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use contractual and organisational safeguards intended to protect information during international transfers.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal, AML, accounting and security obligations. We use technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system or blockchain interaction can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent; update account details; and control optional communications. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where retention is required by law, fraud prevention, dispute handling or blockchain immutability.
9. Cookies, children and changes
We may use cookies and local storage for sessions, security, preferences and measurement. Rimoswap is not intended for anyone under 18. We may update this policy and will post the revised date or provide additional notice when appropriate.
